deer shamaness by katya-h deer shamaness by katya-h
I actually love anthro art so much <3 I just... never really think about drawing it. I'm obsessed with humans. So this is just one of those tings to do for fun/lulz.

A deer shamaness >_> I have this.. obsession with shamanism and I couldn't tell you why. I just do. Anyway, I wanted to make it seem like she has horns, sort of a mix of feelings for the traditional role of shamans, and about how in certain places transgenders/twospirits are thought of very highly and spiritually. But also to look like a tree, a natural outgrowth... etc you get the idea

sold on furbid :3

So, I recently started a D&D game where instead of the classic races, we are anthros. My character is a sorcerer deer, with antlers, which makes her a sort of prophet/high priestess in her tribe. This drawing is pretty much exactly what I have pictured my character looking like, and this is so perfect<333

This is simply breathtaking! I love the line work and the composition, though perhaps you could have dappled her visible skin to be deer-patterned? It might have been tricky, but I think if maybe you diffused the deer-like quality a bit more, you piece will flow all the better.

I love her delicate, elegant muzzle and shadowed eyes, and the style of her clothing - it's both exotic and earthy.

...oh! At first I really thought the ornaments above her heads WERE supposed to be stylized trees (mostly because I never associate female deer with horns/antlers), but it's a cool design idea *_* The overall art nouveau touch works really well here, as I always associate it with feminine and natural things :)

I've always thought of horns/antlers as looking kinda treeish anyways and already loved that bit about your Aghori character you showed me (who seems overall kinda tree-ish to me. And ashy. I love him *_*). <3

And we all know Shamans rule anyways xD

This looks wonderful as a lineart, but do you intend to color this? I'm just curious - I bet I would imagine it with completely different colors than you would come up with in the end

Well yeah they are stylized trees, bt their placement is mean to remind of antlers as well ;p

I am gonna color this, because I think the way I did the lines looks like I should anyway. Unlike other lined pictures I've done. So if you wanna also color it with your colors, gimme a head's up and I'll send the lineart to you as well ^^

I would love to color this but I'm not sure I have the time... but ah heck, just send it to me, I might be able to and would regret not having asked you about it then x3

Oh WOW this is rocking! DX Guh you've really killed me, I'm such a sucker for art nouveau. Love the sheer elegance this piece radiates-- don't supposed you'd ever color it? Beautiful beautiful cloak design, reminds me nearly of a waterfall actually. Really love the flow to your shapes as well, guh<3<3<3 And the tree antlers....! *just so totally in love*

I cannot stress this more: GREAT job!

Hehehe, I'm coloring it, I'm just not sure how I wanna color it? I layed down some flats and I was trying to decide what would be the best way to color it, I think I might add it to my portfolio or something :P

thank you very much!!
